With S/4HANA and SAP Leonardo, SAP has fully embraced the mode 2 IT operations including DevOps in their enterprise application development and provisioning, which requires major changes to traditional monolithic enterprise architecture concepts. While S/4HANA provides the stable digital core based on new streamlined data models overcoming the inherent constraints of last century relational databases, SAP Leonardo provides an innovation system with applications and development tools based on open standards like Google’s Tensorflow to enable SAP customers to take full advantage of Machine Learning, Blockchain and IoT capabilities using open API’s.
