Mars’ journey to SAP S/4HANA for central finance requires the design and development of a single chart of accounts (CoA). A new single CoA is a part of the new data model and data harmonization for the SAP S/4HANA for central finance deployment. Explore the factors of success and challenges that the Mars team faced during our project. This session includes the explanations for our migration from seven CoAs to one, as well as how it fits in with Mars’ digital transformation and SAP S/4HANA for central finance journeys.

The format for Wednesday, June 10 at 2 p.m. CT will include:

  • Brief welcome and kickoff from ASUG

  • Rapid case study led by ASUG member Amy Hillier from Mars, Incorporated

  • The discussion will focus on:

  • Groundwork in preparation for this project, including our CoA vision, strategy, and guiding principles

  • Discussion on the challenges and key account harmonization watch-out points when dealing with multiple SAP environments feeding into SAP S/4HANA for central finance

  • Review how we used InfoSteward

  • Sharing of recent wins or successes, along with resources utilized

Gain visibility into the challenges and successes other SAP customers are experiencing, and acquire new ideas for real-world solutions.
