Transition to SAP Solution Manager 7.2

SAP Solution Manager 7.1 is out of mainstream maintenance since the end of 2017, since then the support for it has been switched to customer-specific maintenance. Staying on SAP Solution Manager 7.1 is possible, but this will imply the risk of additional expenses required to keep it working. 

Regardless if you want to migrate to SAP Solution Manager 7.2 now or anytime later: The good news is that many customers have done this exercise already successfully. SAP has collected best practices out of these projects, and there is a lot of additional information available. 

In this webinar, we will share recommendations and best practices to prepare the transition to SAP Solution Manager 7.2. Get an overview of recommended and necessary steps (procedure, tools, downtime, stack split, HANA Migration, scenario-dependent activities). 

We will address such general questions as if it is better for you to upgrade your existing SAP Solution Manager to release 7.2 or to do a complete new installation, if a content activation is needed as part of the upgrade project (depending on scenarios you use in your current SAP Solution Manager), or whether you should run a test upgrade on a copy of your productive system first.
