In 2020, ASUG joined with DSAG (Deutschsprachige SAP-Anwendergruppe) to examine the similarities and differences among SAP customers in Canada, the U.S., Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in our most ambitious collaborative research study to date.
Our goal for this research project was to better understand the experiences customers in different countries are having with SAP and its products—particularly SAP S/4HANA. We gathered data from 700 participants across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland who are considering implementing SAP S/4HANA and those who are already live on the ERP system. We also conducted qualitative research with nearly 50 customers through in-depth interviews to follow up on the quantitative insights we gathered.
This executive summary offers an overview of our findings, including:
- How SAP can improve the customer experience
- What SAP customers can do to help themselves
- What drives SAP purchases and product use
- The status of SAP S/4HANA adoptions
