The ASUG Georgia Chapter recently held its fall meeting in the heart of Atlanta, at the Loudermilk Conference Center. The strongly attended Sept. 26 meeting touched on critical topics in the SAP ecosystem, including SAP S/4HANA adoption strategies, ratification intelligence, and the RISE with SAP journey.
Geoff Scott, ASUG CEO & Chief Community Champion, kicked off the event by welcoming attendees to Atlanta before Steve Ruschill, Senior Enterprise Architect at SAP, delivered a keynote presentation focused on the role of enterprise architects (EAs) in an enterprise’s overall business strategy, also reflecting on how attendees in various business functions can enable their companies’ EAs to drive successful projects. AWS delivered the afternoon keynote address, diving into manufacturing use cases and reflecting on the role of RISE with SAP in powering enterprises toward the cloud.
One of the main themes of the event was gaining knowledge into best practices for leveraging SAP solutions—including SAP Signavio and LeanIX—during digital transformation projects. Yash Technologies delivered a presentation on how the two solutions can be leveraged to mitigate challenges in process automation and data management, setting the stage for efficient SAP S/HANA implementations.
Another one of the meeting’s main focuses was how enterprises can utilize specific tools during digital transformation projects to spur innovation. Presentations included:
- Charlene Smith, Enterprise Solutions Architect at Tricentis, on the importance of change intelligence strategies during these implementation projects.
- Jeremy White, Director of SAP and Cloud Solutions at Zia Consulting, on boosting efficiency by integrating content and data archives.
- Alexander Paulus, Managing Director at CNT Management Consulting, on brownfield RISE with SAP conversion projects.
- Victor Ducoulombier, Vice President of Business Transformation at oXya, and Yas Wardany, Regional Manager of Sales and Strategic Alliances at Rev-Trac, on how enterprises have leveraged the organizations’ solutions to drive innovation with RISE, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Business Technology (BTP) transformations.
- Enosix experts on how attendees can use the company’s offerings to facilitate accurate and seamless SAP integrations.
Artificial intelligence (AI) was also a critical topic at the chapter meeting, with SAP presenting on its business AI solutions. Additionally, Ming Zhou, President of E-Strategy International, hosted a session on using AI for SAP Intelligence through DataQuery AI and AppBuilder AI.
Finally, closing the Chapter Meeting, several ASUG Campus Connect sessions (including those hosted by Ernst & Young, ASUG, and SAP) offered attendees insights and resources on topics including employability tips and job discovery in the SAP ecosystem, with Christine Aboud, CEO at St. Michael's Learning Academy, joining Kim Belehradek, ASUG Chief of Staff, for a panel discussion on the topic.
