It’s a new year for the SAP Utility Community.
Let me start 2025 off by thanking you all for your continued engagement. Since we began producing this newsletter—in collaboration with Marc Rosson—in 2023, it has been incredibly gratifying to see this audience grow through engaging with the content we produce. I am incredibly excited about this year and what it means for this community, especially considering all the exciting learning and networking opportunities we have in the works. However, we could not bring these insights to you without the contributions of community members.
To that end, we are in the process of planning our annual SAP for Utilities conference, scheduled to take place in Denver, Colorado, from Sept. 8-10. For those with stories to share about their challenges, successes, and innovation with enterprise technology solutions, ASUG is now accepting presentation proposals for the event. You can submit here.
If you’re interested in getting more involved in the SAP Utility community, we are also seeking to elevate new voices through future editions of The Topic: Utilities, as well as our weekly ASUG First Five newsletter. To inquire about opportunities to contribute guest perspectives about recent SAP projects, emerging trends in utilities, and tips for effective business transformation, please contact me, Jim Lichtenwalter, at jim.lichtenwalter@asug.com.
But that’s not all. To get involved in the wider ASUG community and gain actionable insights from other IT professionals, consider getting involved with ASUG Events by attending an upcoming event, ASUG Chapter meeting, or webcast.= If you’re not yet an ASUG Member, learn more about how ASUG membership can supply you with relevant and meaningful events, insights, and research. You can also reach out to the ASUG Membership team here: memberservices@asug.com.
If you have other questions about getting involved with ASUG or contributing to the SAP Utility Community, I’d more than happy to chat. Thank you again for your support. We couldn’t do any of this without the guidance and involvement of our SAP Utility Community, and I’m looking forward to seeing what 2025 has in store for all of us.
