Ahead of SAP for Utilities, Presented by ASUG (September 9–11, 2024, Fontainebleau Miami Beach; register now!), gain insights from Alyssa Perna, Content Producer at ASUG.
SAP for Utilities, Presented by ASUG, is right around the corner. Earlier this week, the ASUG team finalized the schedule. Looking over it, I am incredibly excited about the event and the insights it is certain to provide to attendees.
This is one of my favorite events of the year. In our utilities community, networking with old friends and making new ones is always a rewarding experience. I helped ASUG plan this year's conference. With that in mind, there's a wealth of exciting sessions and opportunities for attendees to learn how their colleagues in the utilities sector are approaching vital IT projects.
Overall, the event is filled with great customer success stories where attendees will gain new perspectives and learn from other customers. Salt River Project will discuss its implementation of SAP’s integrated Customer Experience Suite; BC Hydro will cover its SAP S/4HANA migration, supported by SAP Service & Customer Data Cloud; and Hawaiian Electric Company will detail its mobile work and field service management modernization project.
In addition to the customer-focused sessions, SAP for Utilities will also feature a Learning Lab Track on September 10. Every session here will be essential to ensuring your successful migration to SAP S/4HANA; expect insights from Daniela Haldy-Sellmann, Global Vice President & Head of Energy and Utilities at SAP, who heads up the business unit overseeing our industry, who’ll lead a much-anticipated product roadmap session.
SAP for Utilities will also feature “Community Power Up” sessions aimed at fostering connections between different groups in the utilities sector. I am personally leading one focused on enterprise architecture that is perfect for EAs seeking more insights into the complexity of moving from SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) to SAP S/4HANA. Other topics on the table include energy utilities, Canadian utilities, water utilities, utility energy transformation, and SAP Asset Management.
I am most excited, however, to reconnect with colleagues and friends while expanding my own network across our industry. This is a time of substantial and far-reaching change and innovation in the SAP ecosystem. I am thrilled to see how we can all continue to learn from one another to move our industry forward and bring optimal value to our customers.
