Conferences play a crucial role in building vibrant professional communities, fostering deeper business relationships, and driving the exchange of ideas. This is especially true in the ASUG community, where knowledge sharing and networking are critical to helping our members get the most value out of their existing and future SAP investments.
ASUG conferences provide a unique opportunity for leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to engage in meaningful conversations, form lasting connections, and collaborate on strategies that drive ambitious modernization and business transformation. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and networking, participants can learn from each other's experiences, explore new solutions, and accelerate the implementation of transformative initiatives that shape the future of their industries.
As such, I’m thrilled to launch the ASUG fall conference season in Miami, Florida, with SAP for Utilities, Presented by ASUG. At this event, from September 9-11, attendees will participate in over 55 learning sessions and in-depth discussions around topics critical to modern utilities, including cloud migration strategies, mastering asset management with SAP systems, optimizing the meter-to-cash process, and leveraging business intelligence for smarter decision making.
This is only the start of what we have planned for the rest of the year. ASUG will host two additional conferences in the coming months, both designed to provide in-depth learning and cutting-edge insights for our members to build their skills, grow their networks and bring this knowledge back to their organizations.
In October, head to Houston for ASUG Best Practices, where professionals dedicated to fueling innovation across the oil, gas, energy, chemicals, mill products, mining, and industrial manufacturing industries will converge for a first-of-its-kind event that will drive substantial, focused dialogue around the unique challenges each of these industries face – and their shared imperative to leverage SAP solutions to increase efficiency, optimize business processes, and harness emerging technologies.
And in November, ASUG Tech Connect will return for a second year as a reimagined, redesigned, and expanded collaboration with SAP. Bringing together hundreds of technical practitioners for interactive sessions tailored to the North American SAP developer and enterprise architecture community, this unparalleled experience is led by SAP product experts and SAP end users. The event is also a great opportunity to attend interactive, knowledge-sharing sessions. Attendees can book one-on-one appointments with SAP experts and visit the Ask the Expert room, where they can participate in interactive, collaborative discussions on niche SAP technology topics. These sessions will help attendees avoid pitfalls, gain insight, and receive guidance on how to get a greater return on investment. ASUG Tech Connect serves as the first stop on SAP’s TechEd world tour. You don’t want to miss it.
At ASUG Best Practices, October 14-16 in Houston, we will hear from SAP executives and many of today’s largest SAP customers, reflecting on how members can amplify the value of high-dollar, long-term investments throughout their lifecycle and how they can optimize the customer experience, and utilize technology in digital supply chain management, among other top topics.
At ASUG Tech Connect, November 12-14 in West Palm Beach, attendees can join deep-dive sessions, innovation spotlights, and hands-on learning labs; one-on-one appointments are additionally available with topic area experts. I am pleased that this year we will be offering attendees the opportunity to participate in the Developer Garage, which provides a location for attendees to experience hands-on tutorials at their own pace. Attendees will have access to this unstructured, drop-in approach that is truly technical in nature. This was a big hit last year at TechEd Bangalore –and we’re excited to share this with our community.
Meanwhile, we will unpack SAP’s latest announcements and innovations announced at virtual SAP TechEd on the keynote stage and explain how these innovations are boosting developer productivity. Joining me on the stage on Day 1 will be Michael Ameling, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at SAP, and Patrick Dineen and Senior Vice President—Finance for NBCUniversal.
At each of these conferences, we will dig into the topics that are top of mind for our members and cultivate connections that will continue to drive innovation forward at organizations year-round. We are all in a new era of technology, defined by the convergence of cloud migration, next-generation enterprise applications, and AI. Helping our members understand how to effectively wield this cutting-edge technology to improve efficiency is critical to the ASUG mission.
That is why I am so looking forward to hearing the experts provide their views and assessments on AI, cloud migration, technology modernization, and business transformation.
All of our fall conferences bring together two of our core strengths – technology and community – to offer unparalleled educational experiences tailored for the North American audience. We believe this will fuel our members’ technology initiatives for years to come.
I personally invite you to come join ASUG for these exciting opportunities to maximize the value of your SAP investment, while giving you the opportunity to learn, connect and grow. I look forward to seeing you this fall.
