Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) is a global leader in cement and concrete manufacturing, supporting the construction industry across Latin and North America.
Since 1941, the organization has been growing in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. and largely managed inventory by hand. In recent years, GCC leaders realized that spare parts were being overordered, adding to unnecessary costs that cut into the bottom line.
To optimize the plant maintenance and ordering process, GCC tapped RFgen® to implement a mobile barcoding solution that supported mobile data collection during GCC’s upgrade of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to SAP S/4HANA. With RFgen®, GCC has been able to automate 95% of warehouse transactions.
